City Manager's Office

Mike Herr was hired as Bartow City Manager in January 2023. Herr, a long-time public servant, previously served as City Manager in Winter Haven and Plant City as well as Polk County Manager, among other high-level municipal positions.  The City Manager is hired by and directly reports to the five elected City Commissioners.
