Nonprofit and Community Partner Funding Requests

The City of Bartow is pleased to announce that it is accepting Organization Funding requests for Fiscal Year 2025 - 2026 for nonprofits, tax exempt entities and community-based organizations.

Applicants must provide a necessary service that benefits the residents of the Bartow community by augmenting an existing service provided by the City or by providing a necessary service not currently provided by the City.

To be considered for funding, both Nonprofit Organizations and Community Partners are required to submit the application. Entities that have received previous funding must apply annually. Submission of applications does not automatically guarantee funding.

Projects considered would:

• Address significant community issues
• Present innovative, creative, and practical ideas that build on the community's strengths
• Present a clear work plan that shows the ability to achieve the project's goals
• Encourages cooperation, creates efficiencies, and reduces duplication of services
• Develops the leadership potential of the community and promotes diversity
• Demonstrates quality, vision, collaboration, and good management
• Provides a plan for sustainability beyond the funding period

Applicants for funding consideration must submit a completed application with a copy of the organization's adopted annual budget, bylaws, and state and federal I.D. numbers. If you have received a grant in the prior year a progress report is to be submitted with your application. That report will describe how the funds were utilized, and a summary of the impact made on the people served. New organizations submitting an application are exempt from providing a progress report. A member of City staff may request additional documentation if necessary. If the application meets the minimum criteria, the applicant will be notified in writing of a date, time, and location to present their project to the City Commission.

Note:  A training session will be held at 10am on Tuesday, May 13 at City Hall to answer any questions related to the application process and provide guidance on the presentation process.
