Douglas H. Allen Water Reclamation Facility

This facility is owned and operated by the City of Bartow and is a 5.33mgd Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Summary of Services

  • Preliminary Treatment: Prepares wastewater for treatment process.
  • Primary Treatment: Screening, Pumping, and Grit Removal.
  • Secondary Treatment: Removes BOD and TSS by aeration and filtration.
  • Disinfection: Destroying or inactivating disease-causing organisms.
  • Sludge Treatment: Treated Biosolids.
  • Effluent-to-Energy: Reuse to Progress Energy-Hines Energy Complex.
