Carver Recreation Center

520 Herbert Dixon Blvd.

Carver Recreation Center is the site of recreation programming, including youth and adult sports, summer camps and specialty classes, as well as staff office for the Recreation Programming Division.

Indoor amenities include two gymnasiums, a multipurpose room (rental capacity 120) and a kitchen.  Outside there is a racquetball and basketball court, a playground, a multi-purpose field, a small pavilion and a large pavilion with picnic tables.

Bartow Civic Center

2250 S. Floral Ave.

The Parks and Recreation division main office is located at the Civic Center.  The facility is available for event rentals, including weekly and monthly meetings of local civic groups.

The Civic Center has a large multi-purpose room (Assembly 1 rental capacity up to 300) that can be rented for weddings and other celebrations, large meetings and a variety of special events.  Assembly 1 has a stage and an adjacent kitchen.  

There is a medium multi-purpose room (Assembly 2 rental capacity up to 100) that is primarily used for meetings.  This room has a divider that opens to the large multi-purpose room to use as additional space for larger special events. Assembly 2 can also access the kitchen.

There are also three smaller multi-purpose rooms (Spence Room, Adult Lounge rental capacity 40 and Game Room rental capacity 60) that are available for rent.

Outside the Civic Center, there is a Tennis Complex with eight courts. Four of the courts have lights for evening play. There is also a sand volleyball court and a racquetball court. There are both women's and men's locker rooms in the Civic Center.,

Polk Street Community Center

1255 W. Polk St.

Polk Street Community Center offers an outdoor basketball court, a baseball field with concession stand and press box, a pavilion and two playgrounds.

The facility also houses a Fitness center/weight room which is open to members, Monday through Friday, 2-7PM. There is a large multi-purpose room (rental capacity 250 with adjoining kitchen that is available for rent.
