Commissioner Laura Simpson was appointed by the Commission to fill Seat Number 2 Central District on an interim basis on January 26, 2024 and took office on February 5, 2024. She became a regular commissioner after running for the seat unopposed in the April 2024 election. Her current term expires April 2027.
