The Cemetery Committee first began to be referred to in the minutes on September 6, 1938 but there is no record of how or when the Committee was actually established. The Committee consists of five (5) members, three cemetery directors from the local funeral homes, the Parks and Recreation Director, and one City Commissioner. The terms are indefinite. The Committee meets at the call of the chairman as needed usually at 4:00 p.m. The members of the Committee do not have to file an annual State of Financial Interest.
