Public Hearing and final reading of Ordinance No. 2020-16 – AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING UPON THE PETITION OF THE OWNER HEREOF APPROXIMATELY 8.6 ACRES OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3630 HIGHWAY 60 EAST IN SECTION 35, TOWNSHIP 29 SOUTH, RANGE 25 EAST, POLK COUNTY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR SCRIVENER’S ERROR; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE UPON FINAL PASSAGE.
b. Public Hearing and final reading of Ordinance No. 2020-17 – AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY OF BARTOW, FLORIDA; SAID AMENDMENT BEING KNOWN AS “AMENDMENT #CPA-20-03-SS”; SPECIFICALLY ASSIGNING LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL AND RECREATION AND OPEN SPACE LAND USE TO AN ANNEXED PARCEL OWNED BY FRED & SHERYL HARVEY; TRANSMITTING SAID AMENDMENT TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY (DEO) FOR A FINDING OF COMPLIANCE; PROVIDING FOR SCRIVENER’S ERROR; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE UPON FINAL PASSAGE.
c. Public Hearing and final reading of Ordinance No. 2020-18 – AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF BARTOW, FLORIDA, REZONING APPROXIMATELY 8.6 ACRES OF LAND OWNED BY FRED & SHERYL HARVEY, AND LOCATED IN SECTION 35, TOWNSHIP 29 SOUTH, RANGE 25 EAST, POLK COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS RE-1, “SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ESTATE” AND PR, “PUBLIC RECREATION”; PROVIDING FOR SCRIVENER’S ERROR; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE UPON FINAL PASSAGE.

e. Authorization to accept a Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Justice Assistance Countywide Grant (JAGC) in the amount of $18,000 to purchase a Utility Vehicle (Polaris or similar) and an enclosed trailer.
f. Authorization to accept a Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Grant (CESFG) in the amount of $102,248 to purchase a Public Safety Mobile Communications and Command Center and a covered storage facility that be erected on the Police Facility grounds to house the Command Center.
